Meme Lab uses your submitted comment to retrieve and rank meme references. Matching and caption generation send the situation and relevant reference information to the configured AI service. Avoid submitting sensitive personal information.
Comments and feedback
Your comment and returned candidate IDs and scores are kept for 30 days to support feedback and evaluation. Landed or missed feedback is linked to that recommendation. Expired recommendations and their linked feedback are removed by scheduled cleanup.
Caption editor and previews
Caption editing, PNG rendering and captioned video export happen in your browser. Gallery caption generation sends your situation, optional audience, caption style, selected reference and three small preview frames from the chosen clip to the configured AI service; gallery situations and drafts are not stored by Meme Lab. Reaction clips are fetched from their recorded source through Meme Lab for preview and export. Source previews may load from external media hosts, which receive ordinary network request information. Media rights are not established unless a licensed source is identified.
Optional forms and diagnostics
The optional newsletter and site feedback forms send the information you choose to provide to SaaS Maker. Their handling is described in SaaS Maker’s privacy policy. App diagnostics record bounded event and performance information, including the existing recommendation ID, result rank, feedback outcome and whether an image download was requested or failed. Diagnostic events do not include your comment or caption text. A download request does not confirm that a file was saved or used.
