MEME REFERENCE

Why Shouldn't I Keep It?

Rationalize keeping or indulging in something one intended to give up.

What it expresses

Desire quietly rewrites a prior commitment.

Example

I planned to sell the old laptop, but now I am inventing reasons to keep it.

When not to use it

There was never a plan or reason to let the object go.
