MEME REFERENCE

Sleeping Shaq

Use Sleeping Shaq to contrast boredom or disinterest with sudden excitement when a much better option appears.

What it expresses

The same person ignores the first option but becomes alert and enthusiastic for the preferred alternative.

Example

The meeting agenda said quarterly reporting and I tuned out, but I woke up the moment someone mentioned free lunch.

When not to use it

Avoid when there is no before-and-after contrast between an uninteresting option and an exciting one.
