MEME REFERENCE

First Try!

Celebrate a success, potentially while jokingly hiding all the failed attempts.

What it expresses

The visible success conceals a less glamorous attempt history.

Example

After forty failed test runs, it finally passed. I announce that it worked immediately.

When not to use it

The audience needs an accurate accounting of how many attempts occurred.

• success
• ironic-boast
• persistence
