MEME REFERENCE

Afraid to Ask Andy

Admit a knowledge gap that has become awkward to reveal after pretending to follow along.

What it expresses: Delayed clarification creates social embarrassment.
Example: I have attended six meetings and still do not know what the project acronym means.
When not to use it: The person is asking early and comfortably, without any social hesitation.
