MEME REFERENCE

HOMER BUSH

Use when someone quietly retreats from an awkward, embarrassing, contentious, or unwanted situation.

What it expresses: A person reverses out of view rather than remain associated with what is happening.
Example: You enter a chat just as two relatives begin arguing about politics, so you post Homer backing into the hedge and leave.
When not to use it: A teammate stays to mediate the conflict openly; they are engaging rather than disappearing.
