MEME REFERENCE

Black guy disappearing

Use when someone withdraws or vanishes as soon as a situation becomes awkward, demanding, dangerous, or inconvenient.

What it expresses

Presence fades in stages once staying would require uncomfortable involvement.

Example

The group asks who wants to write the meeting notes, and the most talkative member suddenly stops replying; post this.

When not to use it

A friend explains in advance that they must leave for an appointment; a planned departure is not evasive disappearance.

• disappearing
• quiet exit
• avoid responsibility
