Born Died Welcome Back

Use when a new person, product, trend, or work strongly resembles a beloved predecessor that disappeared.

What it expresses: The successor is welcomed as the apparent reincarnation of a lost original.
Example: A cancelled podcast returns under a new title with the same hosts and format, so listeners fill in the timeline with 'welcome back.'
When not to use it: Two things share only a superficial color while serving different audiences; resemblance alone is too weak to claim reincarnation.
