Clown Makeup slander

Use to show someone gradually adopting increasingly foolish justifications until they have made a clown of themselves.

What it expresses: Successive rationalizations transform confidence into visible self-humiliation.
Example: Caption each makeup stage with a new excuse a friend gives for repeatedly texting an ex who never responds.
When not to use it: A person changes their view after receiving solid evidence; honest reconsideration is not a clownish progression.
