MEME REFERENCE

Vanya and Five

Use when two people notice each other while moving in opposite directions.

What it expresses: A brief moment of recognition occurs during a near-miss that neither person stops to resolve.
Example: I spotted my old classmate through the departing train window just as her platform disappeared.
When not to use it: Avoid when the people meet properly, travel together, or fail to recognize one another.
