MEME REFERENCE

I WANT YOU

Use as a direct recruitment or call to action aimed at the viewer or a specifically named person.

What it expresses

An authority figure singles out the audience as the person needed for a mission or responsibility.

Example

The volunteer group still needs one event photographer, so its organizer posts this with 'I want you to bring a camera.'

When not to use it

A general announcement provides information without asking anyone to act; the pointed recruitment gesture would add a demand.
