MEME REFERENCE

So anyway I started blasting

Use when someone skips deliberation and responds to a problem with immediate, excessive, chaotic action.

What it expresses

A brief setup jumps straight to an overreaction with no measured intermediate step.

Example

Asked how they handled one spam email, your friend says they blocked the entire company domain: 'Anyway, I started blasting.'

When not to use it

A team investigates carefully and applies the smallest effective fix; restraint is the opposite of blasting.

• started blasting
