death knocking at the door

Use death knocking at the door when someone shows the same destructive force moving methodically from one target to the next.

What it expresses: Sequential destruction: Death moving from one marked door to the next represents a moment where someone shows the same destructive force moving methodically from one target to the next.
Example: For example, after the database fails, the same bug takes down search and billing; the visual analogy is Death moving from one marked door to the next, signaling that someone shows the same destructive force moving methodically from one target to the next.
When not to use it: Avoid when the failures are unrelated; Death moving from one marked door to the next would incorrectly signal that someone shows the same destructive force moving methodically from one target to the next.
