MEME REFERENCE

newspaper

Use to turn an event, opinion, or bit of gossip into a bold public headline.

What it expresses: Private information is framed as front-page news worthy of mass attention.
Example: Your usually punctual friend arrives five minutes late, and the group mock-announces the event in giant newspaper type.
When not to use it: You are quietly sharing sensitive information with one trusted person; headline treatment would violate the intended privacy.
