Spongebob chicken

Use to taunt someone for backing away from a harmless challenge or failing to act after boasting.

What it expresses: Retreat is reframed as cowardice by an opponent trying to provoke participation.
Example: A friend loudly claims they can handle spicy food, then refuses the mildest wing, so the table sends this chicken reaction.
When not to use it: Someone declines a genuinely dangerous dare; respecting a safety boundary is not cowardice.
