Gordon Ramsay Idiot Sandwich

Use to roast an unmistakably foolish mistake with theatrical, over-the-top criticism.

What it expresses

A basic error is answered by humiliating comic condemnation rather than gentle feedback.

Example

Your friend books a train for the correct day in the wrong month, and the group deploys the idiot-sandwich reaction.

When not to use it

A beginner asks a sincere question while learning; harsh mockery would punish uncertainty rather than a spectacular blunder.
