# Sleeping Shaq — Meme Lab

Use Sleeping Shaq to contrast boredom or disinterest with sudden excitement when a much better option appears.

- What it expresses: The same person ignores the first option but becomes alert and enthusiastic for the preferred alternative.
- Example: The meeting agenda said quarterly reporting and I tuned out, but I woke up the moment someone mentioned free lunch.
- When not to use it: Avoid when there is no before-and-after contrast between an uninteresting option and an exciting one.
