# Calling the police — Meme Lab

Use when treating an annoying, absurd, or suspicious act as serious enough to report

- What it expresses: Treating an annoying, absurd, or suspicious act as serious enough to report
- Example: A housemate puts ketchup on an expensive steak, and you jokingly reach for the phone as if reporting a crime.
- When not to use it: The behavior poses real immediate danger; contact actual emergency services rather than communicate through a reaction meme.
