# Black guy disappearing — Meme Lab

Use when someone withdraws or vanishes as soon as a situation becomes awkward, demanding, dangerous, or inconvenient.

- What it expresses: Presence fades in stages once staying would require uncomfortable involvement.
- Example: The group asks who wants to write the meeting notes, and the most talkative member suddenly stops replying; post this.
- When not to use it: A friend explains in advance that they must leave for an appointment; a planned departure is not evasive disappearance.
