# Hey Guys - NOT WHAT I'M CALLED — Meme Lab

Use Hey Guys - NOT WHAT I'M CALLED when someone turns a casual greeting into an immediate correction about identity.

- What it expresses: Misnaming correction: the friendly group address followed by an immediate identity correction represents a moment where someone turns a casual greeting into an immediate correction about identity.
- Example: For example, someone says hey designers and the researcher instantly objects; the visual analogy is the friendly group address followed by an immediate identity correction, signaling that someone turns a casual greeting into an immediate correction about identity.
- When not to use it: Avoid when the address is accepted; the friendly group address followed by an immediate identity correction would incorrectly signal that someone turns a casual greeting into an immediate correction about identity.
