# Confused Monkey — Meme Lab

Use for visible confusion when an unfamiliar process, interface, or explanation makes no sense.

- What it expresses: Confusion: the subject searches for an understandable interpretation and finds none.
- Example: A new settings page uses three labels for the same permission and leaves everyone confused.
- When not to use it: Avoid when the reaction is anger, sadness, or deliberate uncertainty rather than confusion.
