# Forest Gump Running — Meme Lab

Use when someone keeps going far beyond the expected stopping point, or abruptly decides to run away from the situation altogether.

- What it expresses: Movement becomes an extended commitment whose distance or duration surprises observers.
- Example: A friend begins a short cleanup and reorganizes the entire apartment overnight, so the group compares their momentum to Forrest running.
- When not to use it: Someone completes precisely the small errand they planned and stops; ordinary follow-through lacks the runaway scale.
