# Cute cat hehe and not hehe — Meme Lab

Use when something initially seems funny but a second thought, new detail, or personal implication abruptly kills the laughter.

- What it expresses: Amusement reverses into discomfort once the joke's consequence becomes clear.
- Example: You laugh at a post about forgotten birthdays, then remember your partner's birthday is tomorrow and reply with this two-stage reaction.
- When not to use it: A joke remains harmless and funny after reflection, so the serious second panel has no reversal to represent.
