# Squidward competition — Meme Lab

Use when entering a competition only to discover that the opponent is uniquely dominant at the exact skill being tested.

- What it expresses: Hope collapses because the matchup favors an unbeatable specialist.
- Example: You enter a trivia round about your coworker's hometown and learn that coworker is your opponent, so you post this.
- When not to use it: The opponent is inexperienced and the contest is evenly matched; doomed recognition would be premature.
