# There is no war in ba sing se — Meme Lab

Use There is no war in ba sing se when an obvious contradiction is denied despite mounting evidence.

- What it expresses: Denial versus reality: the serene official smile enforcing an obvious falsehood represents a moment where an obvious contradiction is denied despite mounting evidence.
- Example: For example, the status update says all is well beside a wall of red alerts; the visual analogy is the serene official smile enforcing an obvious falsehood, signaling that an obvious contradiction is denied despite mounting evidence.
- When not to use it: Avoid when the disputed claim is genuinely uncertain; the serene official smile enforcing an obvious falsehood would incorrectly signal that an obvious contradiction is denied despite mounting evidence.
