# Show me the money — Meme Lab

Use when someone demands concrete payment, revenue, funding, or financial proof instead of promises and enthusiasm.

- What it expresses: Commitment is made conditional on seeing real money rather than projections or praise.
- Example: A client offers exposure instead of a fee, and the freelancer replies with this to insist on actual compensation.
- When not to use it: A volunteer explicitly agreed to an unpaid community role; introducing a payment ultimatum changes the arrangement.
