# Stop it, Patrick! You're Scaring Him! — Meme Lab

Use when one person reveals increasingly intense, unsettling, or technical information until another becomes frightened or overwhelmed.

- What it expresses: Escalating disclosure disturbs an audience while a bystander urges the speaker to stop.
- Example: A developer explains each new consequence of the old billing bug to a nervous product manager, and a teammate posts this.
- When not to use it: The explanation reassures the listener and reduces their concern at every step; the fear escalation is absent.
