# gondor calls for aid — Meme Lab

Use when one group urgently asks an ally for help and the relationship implies that the ally will answer.

- What it expresses: A prior bond or mutual duty turns a distress call into expected reciprocal support.
- Example: The support team is overwhelmed during launch and calls engineering for aid; engineering replies that it will answer.
- When not to use it: A stranger demands unpaid work from someone with no relationship or obligation to them; reciprocity is missing.
